Denis Cheryshev picked no better occasion picked the perfect chance to get his first international goal, roofing his effort and skipping past two men (wait for his next goal). Artem Dzyuba headed late in the second half, with his first touch, again set up by Alek Golovin. Denis Cheryshev scored his second with an absolute gem of a goal with the outside of his left foot into the top corner. Alek Golovin’s perfectly-struck free kick making it 5-0 in injury time to Stanislav’s Cherchesov’s Russian charges. Man of the match for the CSKA Moskva Playmaker. The Arabian Sheikhs still tearing their hairs out as we speak.
So yeah: the perfect opening. What a tournament this could be. Vlad Putin doing the Russian Schmoney dance. Game 1 Done ✅: 63 to go. Russia top Group A. Head in hands for the Arabians🤦🏽‍♂️.

UCL 18/19 SEMIFINAL REVIEW: FIRST LEG

Europe’s elite club competition served up another dose of rich entertainment, not for everyone though. It seems you shouldn’t disrespect an almost-hallowed football ground. Giant-killing Ajax Amsterdam added another victim to the list, with a deserved 1-0 away win at Spurs’ new ground. Donny Van De Beek afforded far too much time in the 18-yard as Hugo Lloris was left exposed. Spurs huffed and puffed as the game came to a close, with Dele Alli only forcing a save from André Onana. Special mention to Jan Vertonghen who recovered after taking a whack which left him bloodied for a bit. Pochettino still has hope as Son Heung-Min would be back from suspension.
