COULD THE REAL EDEN STAND UP?

"Could be armed and extremely hazardous." "Eden, Arsenal is not a big team. You have to turn up. Isn’t that how you roll?"      If there’s anytime Chelsea needed Eden Hazard to turn up, it’s now. Chelsea travel to the Emirates knowing a win takes them within seven of Klopp et Liverpool, depending on other results. One Belgian, in particular, has scored the hosts only thrice since he joined in 2012. Dismal given the raw talent this man is.      We eulogise about his mazy, pacy dribbles and his link-up play with GQ model Olivier Giroud (remember me, DT?). He’s been deployed centrally up top by Maurizio Sarri, as he looks to pull off Operation Mertens. And it should be paying dividends, I mean isn’t Eden Hazard top-class material? Some sort of heir to Cris and Messi?  Now’s the time, Eden, unless you're actually Eden Fraudzard.

EPL 18/19: AY’s PLAYER WATCH FOR JANUARY

Talk about the way to start the new year. We’ve had certain players take games by the scruff of the neck, and some players just fading into oblivion (Mr Fraudzard, would you please leave the podium?). Who’s been your player of the month so far?     AY’s 3 Picks Virgil Van Dijk        He may be contender for Head and Shoulders’ New Campaign, but he’s one heck of a player. Liverpool have lost only once when he’s been on the pitch (Curse you Kun Agüero!!!!!!!!). They’ve let in just 10 goals after 22 games (25 at this stage last year). With Klopp sitting at the top with a buffer of 4 points, Virgil may actually make this their year.  Mohammed Salah              Of course, I was going to mention him. Top of the scoring charts, and tearing up the one-season wonder tag. Liverpool haven’t had to play really well when he’s on  the pitch: he just pops up with big go...

Thank you for everything ❤️

Love to take this opportunity to thank everyone who in one way or the other contributed to the success of my blog. My heart goes out to you, and I truly pray that Goodness and Mercy never leaves you and your families, IJN, Amen. This does not end here. I just really want to say thank you. More goodness from the FooteeMag coming soon. I’m currently brushing Juergen Klopp’s teeth.  The reviews I get and the feedback really warms my heart. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.

EPL '18/19: GAMEWEEK's BIG TALKING POINTS

"There's Only One Oleeee!" Liverpool (v Brighton), thanks to an assured penalty from Cairo roadrunner Magic Mo', stretched the lead to 7 points at the top, although Pep and co play Wolves tonight.       Manchester United, yes you heard me right, have gone and done it. Marcus Rashford's spear hit into Lloris' bottom corner, and a rich catalogue of David De Gea saves, earned the Mancunians three valuable points, which puts them level with Arsenal at 5th. Standout result of the weekend alright.   James Milner hinted towards a bounce back from the Merseysiders this Saturday, we did get one alright. Fabinho and Permy Van Dijk manning an almost inpenetrable wall at the Amex. They'v elet in only 10 this campaign (after 22games) Liverpool virtually bossed all game, with the Seagulls dropping rather too deep into their own half. What a week it will be, if Sage Nuno Santo could tear up the script at the Etihad. Fancy punting on it?    Sa...

EPL 2018/2019 BIG MATCH PREVIEW: TOTTENHAM V MAN UTD

Hey Sir Alex, when are you going to celebrate again? Manchester United need to start winning these sort of games to bring back that fear factor. That classic 5-3 victory at White Hart Lane could be hard to topple, but United need to send out a statement. “Respect man, respect!” Not these kind.        If there’s a time for Ferguson’s great grandkids to face the Wembley hosts, it’s now. Tottenham (and a particular Merseysider led by a supposed dentist) fail to stand up and be counted when the going gets tough. Remember the Tinkerman in 2016? Yeah, his side had surprisingly had the staying power required of Champions (Josè would tear his hair out saying it’s “football heritage”). With Oleball unlocking Pogba, and giving the supporting cast the license to roam, RB Kieran Trippier could be quaking like Lee Dixon did in 1999’s FA Cup Semi-final. Most of United’s attacks foray through the left wing. Yes, it’s a must-win game for both sid...

EPL 2018/2019 PREVIEW: MATCHDAY 22

« We can’t let it slip ». That’s the message from a certain Scouse male. Juergen and his charges head to the Amex looking to stretch the lead to seven at the summit. It’s been a rather torrid week for the Merseysiders, thanks to Pep and Sage Nuno et Wolves. Klopp hoping both his teeth and Alisson's sheet remain white.       Better more friends than enemies. Wolverhampton Wanderers look to cause another upset in favour of Liverpool, as they visit the Etihad. Lisbon Roadrunner Bernardo Silva channeling his inner Mo’ Farah to help his side cut the deficit to one at the top.     The big one? 3rd-placed Spurs v Man Utd at Wembley. There’s always goals in this one. Oleball and a certain French Ballerine look to stick it to José and get within three points of 4th-placed Chelsea. One of tne go-to Premier League Classics. United could actually nick this one you know. Paul est heureux.         Chelsea welco...

EPL 2018/2019 TITLE WATCH: JANUARY

Slippy Ol’ Loserpool. (c)bleacherreport.com New Year,  same old Liverpool?  What is it with Liverpool and winning titles? French-dabbing sensation Paul Pogba probably wasn’t born the last time Red Merseyside lifted the trophy. Pep and his co-band of perfectionists have injected that vertigo of Déjà-Vu again, thanks to Leroy Sanè’s pirouette past a hapless Alisson Becker. And Manchester City also lifted the title the last time Liverpool led at Christmas.  The next four games for Liverpool should chase away the ghosts of Selhurst Park et al: a visit to Brighton, two homes v Crystal Palace et Leicester respectively, and then a trip to the London to face Manuel Pellegrini’s West Ham United.      Man City on the other hand, haven’t got it easy: hosts to Wolves, visits to Huddersfield Town and Newcastle United, before two heavyweight clashes against Arsenal and Chelsea. The silver lining just became more profound.      Pochettino’s Spurri...
