HOW GOOD ARE THESE GUYS?

   Very good, dare I say: darn good! Die Loew Juggernaut’s done it again. The gaffer’s record takes some stopping; a 103 wins in 150 games. Stunning thing really is that this particular team was his (As we call it) team B. Not one first team player in the roster. Red Bull Leipzig speedster Timo Werner set up Mochengladbach’s Lars Stindl to trickle the ball into Bravo’s vacant net. And then came incessant pressure, but they still didn’t budge. Messi’s goalie Andre Ter Stegen deservedly man of the match after an array of saves. His opposite number, well, still ruing the blade of grass that “bamboozled” Marcelo Diaz. WHO DO THESE GUYS THINK THEY ARE?

      It’s safe to say, normal to say, that these two “superhumans” have redefined the sport in every sense of the word. Records, accolades, trophies? Goals, sort of goals: how about the number? “Been there, done that”, they’ll both shrug. The refusal to allow a drop in these riveting performances they produce year after year makes you wonder. Between these two extraterrestrials were more than a 100 strikes for club and country this past season. Staggering? You bet. But it all seems so normal to them, more like they’re gods.
